The delicious and diverse menu stands out as a favorite among diners. The warm, friendly service creates a welcoming environment, making every visit a pleasure. Many appreciate the inviting atmosphere, especially the cozy fireplace that adds to the charm, making it a perfect spot for family dinners or romantic evenings. The fact that there’s ample vegetarian and Halal options ensures that everyone can find something enjoyable. Lastly, the ability to book future visits solidifies Hussains as a trusted local gem, exemplified by dedicated returning customers who eagerly plan their next meal.

Most Disliked

While Hussains Indian Cuisine has received numerous accolades, some diners may find the pricing slightly higher than average for Indian takeaway. Occasional long waits during peak hours, especially on weekends, can lead to impatience among patrons eager to dig into their meals. Additionally, those accustomed to modern curry houses may find the decor not to their taste, preferring sleek, contemporary designs over traditional aesthetics. Some reviews also mention that certain dishes may vary in heat levels, which isn’t always to everyone's preference. Overall, these factors are minor and do not detract significantly from the overall enjoyment of the meal.

We live in Barry but visit Stratford-upon-Avon few times in a year and visit Hussain's which is in our opinion one of the best curry houses we have been to. We always go end Nov/beginning of Dec and they actually book our slot for the following year. The food is delicious, the menu is varied and the staff are fantastic Paula & Don Barry - South Wales

Had a Deliveroo tonight, so the food pictured it how I plated it up at home, not the restaurant. I have been in the restaurant as well many times, which I love as it has great food and service each time. I also like the decor which reminds me of a traditional curry house I grew up with in Birmingham.

It’s always a pleasure to step into a traditional curry house like this. We came down from Manchester (25th Aug) to see the sights of Stratford upon Avon. We were greated with a warm welcome from the start! The staff are incredibly lovely in here. Conversational, kind and attentive. I loved the decor of the place, as well as the original features. It feels untouched, as well as very clean. I’m not too much a fan of modern curry houses with plain white walls and LED lighting… The food was immaculate. Full of flavour, and a generous portion size. The chicken in the curry had been tandoori-marinated, adding to the flavour- as well as it being soft, and it effortlessly falling to pieces. My Jalfrezi was spicy (as it should be), but wasn’t too overpowering. It was also really nice to see the curry and rice weren’t swimming in oil. The Garlic Nan was fluffy and delicious, too! A perfect night here, and will absolutely visit again when we come down again some time! Thanks to all of the staff for such a lovely experience. ☺️

We were in this restaurant a couple of years ago,and we had to come back. Food is really tasty. The waiters are friendly and thoughtful. Highly recommended . For starters, we had butterfly king prawns and vegetable samosa. The mains were lamb vindaloo and king prawn bhuna.
